Meeting the winemaker at Le Tournant – Philippe Mesnier, Domaine des Hauts Baigneux

Tasting on March 19, 2026

At Le Tournant, in Ixelles, we enjoy creating moments of encounter around wine. That is why we regularly organise evenings with winemakers, offering our guests the opportunity to discover a vineyard, a philosophy and wines presented by the people who make them.

On March 19 from 7 pm, we will welcome Philippe Mesnier, winemaker at Domaine des Hauts Baigneux in Touraine, in the Loire Valley.

This evening has a special meaning for us: Philippe once worked in the kitchen at Le Tournant, before dedicating himself fully to wine.

Domaine des Hauts Baigneux

The Domaine des Hauts Baigneux, located near Azay-le-Rideau in Touraine, was taken over in 2012 by Philippe Mesnier and Nicolas Grosbois with the aim of highlighting the potential of this still little-known appellation.

The estate covers around 10 hectares spread across the villages of Cheillé, Saché and Vallères, on clay-flint and clay-limestone soils well suited to the expression of Loire wines.

The vines are organically farmed, with careful soil work and manual harvesting in order to produce wines that are lively, precise and faithful to their terroir.

The domaine produces:

  • elegant and vibrant Chenin Blanc
  • the characteristic Azay-le-Rideau rosé
  • light and expressive reds made from Cabernet Franc, Grolleau and Gamay
  • as well as some naturally sparkling wine

Honest, vibrant wines — exactly the kind of bottles we love to share at Le Tournant.

Wine tasting during dinner

During the evening, several wines from the domaine will be available:

🍷 €5 per glass
🍷 from €25 per bottle

The wines can be enjoyed during dinner, alongside the seasonal cuisine of Le Tournant.

These evenings are always a warm moment to talk about vineyards, terroir, vintages and the stories behind the bottles.

Reservations recommended

The tasting is available for guests dining at the restaurant.
